I like to collect vintage film cameras in my spare time. There's something about finding, restoring, and using these old machines that really helps me slow down and focus. I just sent in my first test reels to The Negative Space for processing so more to come here soon!
If you ever see me at a dance event and want some old-timey footage feel free to ask!
Welcome to the internet’s worst recipe blog! The name’s Henry and I am making my way through the world while writing, cooking, drinking, and dancing, all the while taking mediocre photographs and fiddling with old-timey movie cameras.
I built this website because I wanted someplace to share my writing and a few other artsy projects but I also want to try think critically about my life, even the fun parts. The phrase “food isn’t political” comes to mind, a sentiment I've heard echoed by people in power to undermine other voices & dismiss the needs of our communities. Everything we do is political whether it's the food we eat, the drinks we drink, the dances we dance, or the communities we're a part of, whether we like it or not. My hope is that interrogating these things will help me be more intentional with my choices and also better understand the great communities I’m a small piece of. Who knows, maybe reading this might help you do the same.
Welp, I guess I'll hop off my digital soapbox for now. Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to tip your bartender! Or if you enjoy the site enough you’re welcome to buy me a drink!
